Tis the season to be busy….
Anyone else feel so overwhelmed lately? I always have a to do list that is just beyond ridiculous, but some days I look at it and just feel OVERwhelmed, and other days I look at it and just get moving down the list. This week has been productive, but I have had some of those very overwhelming moments as well.
Let’s see..how about a bulleted summary of this week:
- Hosted Monday Chat for Lisa
- Photo shoot for a friend’s family picture
- Shots for Kyleigh
- Eye appts for both girls
- Alyssa’s school Christmas program
- Tomorrow Alyssa’s class participates in Mass and Ky has tumbling
- Editing lots of photos
- Scrapping a bit! whoohooo
- Designing a bit for some upcoming fun this weekend at SBB
- Final organizing of Chevron articles for OPA
Doesn’t look so bad when it’s summarized this way versus every little item on my to do list. LOL
I have been trying to post some layouts today on SBB but I keep getting the “server busy” message - I know Amy has out a ticket to get this resolved, so I’ll have to post my pages here for now, and eventually you’ll be able to get all the credits for these in my gallery.
This first page I did for the chat on Monday using a template by littlecountryquilts and my Warm Whisper kit. I used Meredith Fenwick’s “is for” labels too and decided I really should do an alphabet book for Kyleigh. She’s right at the age now to really enjoy something like this. Eric and I started brainstorming some ideas for letters, maybe I can work on that after the holidays to give her for her birthday in the spring.
This one was for the cover of the December Tid-bytes Ezine that was just released this week. I used Melissa Renfro’s Golden Holiday kit for this one. The kit is now retired but she’s about to release another kit similar that is even more awesome at Scrap Girls any day now! Be sure to go check it out!!
This was a page I did that is also in the December Tid-bytes Ezine that was done for the Sketch-bytes by Brenda Kempf. She has some really fun sketches and templates in every issue and every week as a challenge at SBB. I used some papers of mine from a chat freebie earlier in the year.
And finally, I just did this one tonight of Alyssa and her class from the school program tonight. We ended up standing in the back of the room (we even got there 20 minutes early too) and then sitting in the back row, but I came prepared. I took my 70-200 mm lens and my tripod so I could put the shutter speed fairly low and still get a decent picture without flash. I am quite happy with how it came out, and for once I’ve finally scrapped some of these pictures that I always take at these school things. I really need to scrap more of those photos for Alyssa.
For this one I used a quickpage I made for the December Elements Team kit that was recently released. This kit is beautiful! I wish I could say I contributed to the gorgeous papers and elements in this one, but alas this month I did the templates and quick pages, but I loved working with all the great goodies the team put in this one.
This weekend, we’ll be stirring up a little Holiday Fun at SBB! We’ll be having challenges, chats and of course SALES! Be sure to stop by for all the fun. Fun Starts noon on Saturday, Dec 15 and continues through the 19th.
I’ll be having a 50-40-30-20-10% off sale on all my goodies in my store. The sooner you shop, the bigger your discount.
One coupon all week, but each day the discount will change.
Well, with that I need to head off to bed so I can be up to go to mass in the morning. Alyssa will be a reader this time. She’s so excited she’s memorized her reading!
