Just wanted to give a quick update after my sad posting the other night.  My back hurt more throughout Tuesday so I called my OB’s office to see if I should get an additional appointment or just wait till my regular annual exam that is scheduled for 3 weeks from now.  The nurse I spoke with took down the details and then went to talk to the Dr.  She called me back that evening, but I was gone taking Alyssa some where and when I got back it was too late to call back.  I got a hold of the nurse again today and she scheduled me for an ultrasound about 15 min before my upcoming appointment.  Hopefully I’ll know something in a few weeks.  I’ve been having mild cramping/sharp pains in my abdomen all evening and it sure is getting annoying - probably need to go take some more Motrin to help with the the discomfort.

Alyssa has her First Reconciliation tomorrow night.  She’s excited but still a little nervous.  I know she’ll do wonderful.  She’s done a great job memorizing what she needs to and will be singing for part of the mass.

OH..tonight when Eric was heading up to bed he heard some very quiet moaning…walked around the corner to look in the girls’ bathroom to see what was going on and saw Alyssa standing there with her hand on her head and kind of trying to look into the mirror with a dazed look.  She turned around toward him and took her hand off her head and he saw blood every where!  All over her face, her hands and her pajamas.  He was quite taken aback by the sight and yelled down to me.  She looked awful and sooo dazed.  She finally was able to tell us she hit her head on the corner of the counter when getting dressed after going to the bathroom.  I think she knew her head hurt, but didn’t realize she had cut herself and was bleeding.  She has a small cut just below her eyebrow above her eyelid.  Once we got it all cleaned up we could see it wasn’t too bad and we bandaged her up and made sure she was ok before sending her back to bed.  I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t remember any of it tomorrow morning.  Poor kid sleeps soooo heavily, she essentially sleep walks to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.  After Eric had her all cleaned up and bandaged, he was sitting with her a few minutes making sure she was ok and she looked down at her hand that had been on her head and saw all the dried blood.  Her response  “Oh my Gosh!”  Poor thing..she really didn’t even realize what had happened.  Eric got a wet cloth and cleaned her hands for her.

Ok..with that, I think I’m heading to bed.  I’m sick of this pain, so I think I’m going to sleep it off some.
