Tomorrow’s the day
Please keep me in your prayers as I go in for my surgery now in about 13 hours. Pray that this goes smoothly, and remains a simple laparoscopy (yes, I realize that surgery is still surgery, but I’d rather take the couple of days recovery over an actual incision again and 4-6 WEEKS of recovery). My biggest fear going into this is that she (the doctor) will find more than we expect and she’ll have to do an incision or even worse, that it means I’ll come out of this unable to have any more kids.
In other news…
I’ve been busy this week trying to finish up anything I need to have done before the surgery or that I won’t really feel up to doing afterwards for a few days. I’ve been surprisingly productive the last couple of days.
Over the weekend, Eric came home late Saturday evening and we all went out to dinner. Sunday Eric was going to take the girls for the day to do some fun things and let me get caught up on a bunch of work I needed to finish, so then we could do some fun family things on Monday. Plans changed, however, when on the way to the wildlife park, Kyleigh threw up all over the truck. Eric came home with the girls and ended up doing things around the house and we tended to Ky throwing up all day. The girls had both been invited to Alyssa’s best friend’s birthday party that afternoon as well, but with Ky sick, only Alyssa got to go.
Poor little thing. Monday she continued to throw up most of the day, so Eric took just Alyssa to the Wildlife Park. She needed to get up there to answer some questions for a science scavenger hunt we’ve been doing all summer, and it was the last weekend she could go since the answer sheet has to be in the mail by this Friday. Ky was soooo upset she couldn’t go, so I tried to tell her daddy was just taking Alyssa SOMEWHERE and we’d all go to the “Berry Park” (as she calls it hee hee) another day. So with Ky still throwing up even at 3 AM Monday morning, I kept her home from her 3rd day of Preschool. She was very sad to have to miss, but I just didn’t want to take a chance. Turned out to be a good choice - she was still really tired all day, and even with working our way through the BRAT diet throughout the day (and doing well with it), she ended up throwing up again after dinner. She has been doing fine since now, and managed to eat a regular dinner tonight, so I think she’s ready to go back to school tomorrow.
I’m so behind on sharing pictures and layouts of things this summer…I’ll post a summary of photos from August below
Have a wonderful weekend!
Couple shots of Ky at the park:
Eric actually did take a couple pictures in California this trip, but I just picked out one to share. Most all the others have people he was with in them.
