Ahhh jeeze!

Here I thought moving away from the coast and to the MIDWEST, I moved away from hurricanes, and today I found a section of my carpet in the basement soaked!!! The basement is wet from all the rain we had for about 3 days straight…we had some storms that passed through and already soaked us, and then lovely oh IKE came and dumped a TON more rain on us, and walla….flooding all over the area, including my basement partially today! sighhhhhhh

Eric just left today for the week out of town, and I’m not supposed to be lifting things over 10lb yet, but this afternoon I had to move all this stuff around in the basement and get the wet vac out, then had to go searching all over town to find fans to buy to set up, and called the neighbor to help me move my piano so I could get to the carpet under it too.  I sucked quite a bit of water out of the carpet with the vacuum and now the fans are trying to work their magic.  I may go try vacuuming again for a while, but I needed to sit down a rest for a bit.  I was out and on my feet for hours this evening with trying to clean this mess up and then all over town trying to find those fans and taking Alyssa where she had to be.

OH and to add to my day of frustration…I took a couple shots of the basement to add with this post, but when I went to upload the card to the computer (the same card that has all the pictures from this past weekend - the festival and the parade) I kept getting all these errors.  So after trying for a while and trying my computer and our main (server) computer, I pulled the card out and put it back in the camera.  Went to view the photos to see if they were OK (trying to figure out if the problem was the card or the computer or what…when I did get the card to show the files on the computer it had all the files through Sat, and then the ones from today were all named with all these random characters and gobally gook and none of the photos would show previews) and the camera told me there were no files on the card!!  EEK!!!  I think the card may be corrupt and I’ve lost all my photos from the weekend!  I didn’t even get to see them!!!  WAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I think I’m about ready for bed now - didn’t get a nap today, and all this is just bumming me.
