{New look}

Decided it was time for the blog to switch over to fall.  I made a new banner for my store and for an ad in the upcoming Sept SBB newsletter, so thought I’d use it for the blog too.  Everything used on this one is from my new kit “Autumn Splendor” that will be available free in the Sept. {Basement update}

well…Eric came home Thursday evening and started pulling our shelves out and the more of them he pulled out, the farther the water went, so he ended up pulling them ALL out!  Some of the shelves will have to be repaired before he can put them back in.  Then he pulled the carpet back to see how wet the padding was….ugh..I tell you, the more he keeps looking the worse it is getting.  We had to pull up about 1/2 of the padding on that half of the basement, we may have to replace the carpet somehow, and he’s going to have to replace some dry wall.  Had to pull some of the baseboard off to be replaced…sigh…. I need to take a couple new pictures since my others were lost and this is a much different scene down here now anyhow than what I took the other day.

I had a photo shoot scheduled today for the most adorable 6 month old, and since my studio is totally torn up right now, I had to set up in the garage.  I was nervous as to how the pictures would turn out, but I took it as an opportunity to do some natural light shots this time and to use my new seamless paper background I bought to use for her anyhow.  She was in the best mood today and sooo cute!  I shot 175 photos in less than an hour without even realizing I had taken that many until the card said it was full.  I had to stop and pop it out to make sure what size the card was!  Wow…I’ve been trying to narrow them down this afternoon and evening to 30 photos and so far it’s been REALLY hard!  I’ve already found a few faves though, so with a little more time I should be able to narrow these down to the best.  I can’t wait to finish processing and editing them and showing them to her mom.  They really did come out cute.

Ok..it’s already 2 AM, so I’m heading to bed and I’ll post some pics hopefully tomorrow of the basement and maybe some from the photo shoot.
