Why am I always dragging?

Ky fell asleep on the computer chair the other day - she was playing and then decided she wanted a nap, but wouldn’t go lay in her bed or on the couch! LOL
So lately I am barely able to stay awake every day by the time the kids go to bed, and I keep asking myself, WHAT is wrong with me. About half of the week I will make it to bed around midnight, and others will be between 1 AM and 3 or 4 AM..sometimes even 6 AM! I usually get up about 7, give or take an hour depending on what’s going on for the day. I am always dragging and in need of a nap by lunch time (sometimes I finally just give in because I can’t stay awake any more), and most nights, with or without a nap that day, I am passing out sitting on the couch after dinner or right after the kids go to bed (depends if Eric is here to take over after dinner or not).
Besides my terribly inconsistent sleeping pattern, and my likely HUUUUGE sleep debt I’ve created over the last couple years, I think I’m just overwhelmed.
I’m the room parent for Alyssa’s room this year (requires planning 3 parties, and 2 family gatherings),
trying to help some of Ky’s class things when I can,
I’m a Girl Scout leader (requires planning for my girl meetings and attending leader meetings and training),
I serve on the National Board for Omega Phi Alpha as VP Communications (been doing this since 1997, filling the duties of this particular position about 4 or 5 years now, and it’s really like a part time job, even close to full at times of the year),
I serve as a team member for Scrapbook-Bytes (write for the Ezine, lead/organize the chats and challenges team and events, and serve on the featured product team),
I’m a designer at SBB as well (create and sell my own designs and contribute to monthly SBB kits, plus handle all of my advertising), and
I work on my own photography business as well (shoots, edit my own photos, handle and create my own marketing)
THEN…For the most part I take the kids to all their activities…
Alyssa: Piano lessons (this she actually walks to - teacher is down the street), Cheer leading practice (2 evenings a week - THANKFULLY this ends next week, plus a few games), Choir (this is at school right after school and then I pick her up), Girl Scouts (2x a month, but I am at these too because I’m the leader), Tae Kwon Do and Dance (when Cheer ends Eric will take her to these, right now I take and pick her up from Cheer and then take her to dance and Eric brings her home). We have to fit homework, dinner and bath all in as well! LOL
Kyleigh: Preschool (2x a week only 8-11, but I pick her and her friend up 1 day and keep them till choir is over at 4 and meet the mom at the school, then she takes them the other day till school is out at 3 and we meet at the school), Play group (2x a month, be we’re lucky to make this once a month), Dance (Eric takes her and brings her home most weeks), and then Tumbling in the morning while Alyssa is at school on Fridays.
Soon the girls will be starting ice skating lessons as well, but I may wait till the Jan classes begin to give us a bit of a rest for now (I know..the above doesn’t sound like much of a rest does it? LOL).
So…it’s this list above that I think is just making me crazy! I just can’t keep up much right now no matter how hard I try. I spend the weekends with the kids and Eric as much as I can when everyone is awake, but then I sleep almost none on the weekend! And somewhere in there I’m supposed to go get a full time job too? See why I’m having a really hard time trying to figure that one out? LOL
soo…I think it’s time for sleep now..this post is making me tired! hahahaha

Haha. I guess you listed all the reasons why you are ‘dragging’
.
But seriously, I’m a room parent for BOTH of my kids and my daughter is doing girl scouts. In every one of these 3 activities we are using this site called Qlubb, which helps people get organized. We’ve had some great success. There’s of course a little up front in figuring it out (only takes an hour or two to figure it out and set it up) and introducing it to the parents, but from that point on, it makes life very easy. For all of our daisy scouts activities we set up the entire year on Qlubb (www.qlubb.com) and let the reminders tell us when and what to bring and what to volunteer for. Anyway, helps me keep what little shred of sanity I have left
.
