I can’t wait to be done with college, and have nothing to do
Yes, I reallllly thought that would be the case when I graduated from college and entered REAL life. That was now over 10 years ago (since I graduated with my BS) and I’ve yet to have nothing to do and be bored!
I seriously must have been on crack back then, or just a young naive kid! LOL
What a day! I think I’d call it a day from hell LOL As you know if you read my post this morning, we woke up early and right from the start it was a blast. After I got off the computer I did get to lay down a bit while she watched Nemo, so I did get a little more rest and a break from the whining. But then all throughout the day it’s been on and off whinning. Her fever was finally gone when she went to bed tonight, but all around one of her eyes, it’s red..as if she is getting a black eye - REALLY weird. I’ll have to check her again tomorrow to see how that looks.
After lunch today I went to the store to pick up some things for my Girl Scout troop and a few things I missed yesterday. I figured Ky might enjoy the time out of the house, which she did, so that was good. When we got home I put her to bed but about 30 min into nap she came down crying and alllll upset that she had pooped in her mermaid panties (her pull-up). Poor thing…She was quite a mess too, poo all down her leg and even on her knee…maybe she tried to get it off on her own before she came to me. Anyhow..once we got her cleaned up she finally went back to sleep.
I needed to go to another store to get a few more things, but I had come home so she could nap and was going to go when Alyssa got home and Ky woke up, but when it became about 4:45ish and she was still out like a light, I called my sitters and they came over to stay with the girls so I could run to the store. It was probably the BEST thing for me - an hour to myself! LOL
Dinner went better tonight - spaghetti is a quick and easy deal hahaha. Ky was whinning on and off while I was making dinner and through dinner, and even through bath time, so as soon as she was done, I had her ready for bed! I tried to get her down early, even had her in bed the first time by 8:15, but after numerous excuses, she ended up still awake when Alyssa went to bed about 8:30, and then even when I went up to check on them at 9:30, Alyssa was asleep and Ky was still awake - IN Alyssa’s closet playing with shoes! siiiigh. At least she’s quiet and staying in the room I guess.
So anyhow…again it doesn’t sound so bad written down here, but I think it was just all the constant whinning today that has worn me out mentally, that and every time I tried to sit down to work on anything, on the computer or to sort laundry, or anything…within 2 minutes I’d have to be up to deal with something again!
Well, I need to not make a novel posting tonight as I still need to finish up some things to prepare for our first Girl Scout meeting tomorrow and it’s already 10:30 now. I need to get some sleep tonight too since my kids don’t seem to want to sleep when I really need it. Of course I do still have to stay up a little while to finish a few loads of laundry finally too! uggghh…
Have a great night!

Hope the GS meeting went well, what level are you working with? My daughter is now a second year Jr., but I stayed with the Brownies last year and will be doing Daisies this year - I just MUCH prefer the little girls to the snarky middle school ones!
Isn’t it funny how long we all moped about wanting to be done with school and now would kill to go back to anything that came with 3 months off in the summer??
